dc.description.abstract Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) has been a front-runner in terms of media attention. To many, this is a disorder that involves an abundance of energy that is difficult to control. Information that is less likely to make headlines includes research regarding theoretical underpinnings, specifics regarding motor difficulties, cultural etiology and diagnosis, and how to successfully manage children with these symptoms within the educational system while still abiding by relevant law. This review of the literature will primarily focus on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Predominately Hyperactive/Impulsive Type to include current popular treatment. Practical applications are included in the appendix. en_US
