Abstract

Description

On the front of the post card is an image of the National Cemetery at Fort Donelson. The back has a caption that says, “After the battle, many of the dead were buried on the battlefield. In 1867, 670 Union dead (512 of which are unknown) were reburied in this National Cemetery. Soldiers of other wars and their dependents are also buried here.”
