Description

Grace Chapel at Rossview in Montgomery county. In 1866, was organized as a Sunday school by Captain Edward Barker Ross and with cooperation with Mr. J. B. Killebrew. In 1907 the chapel was renovated through the kindness of Dr. John and Mrs. Ross. Rev. Samuel Ringgold served as the rector of Trinity around 1864. He "was essentiall a missionary. In addition to suburbran work... he labored ceaselessly at Rossview, then known as 'White Chapel'. The photo sho9ws Dr. Ringgold and members of Trinity entering Christ Chapel, now defunct, but once located five or six miles across the Cumberland River"
