Abstract
Description
The Lillian Theatre was located on the corner of Franklin and First Streets, the present site of the Roxy Theatre. It opened in 1913 and was named after the daughter of the owner, Joseph Goldberg. The original theatre was damaged in the 1914 fire but was reopened in 1915. In 1941, the Lillian was renovated and became the Roxy. In 1945 the first Roxy burned but reopened in 1947.
