dc.descriptionCamp Campbell received its first WAC personnel when two officers and 17 enlisted women reported for duty. Shortly after 419 trained servicewomen arrived. The WAC detachment actually formed an administrative unit with the mission of establishing a motor pool and motor corps. In addition to becoming sedan drivers, many of the women were assigned specialist duties in the hospital, and to administrative positions on Post Headquarters, Post Finance, and Post Range Headquarters, Post Finance, and Post Range Headquarters.
