dc.descriptionVictory Parade after Armistice Day on Franklin Street on May 15, 1919. Armistice Day, November 1, 1918, was observed in Clarksville by a parade of local people without the benefit of uniformed troops other than members of the Student Army Training Corps from Southwestern Presbyterian University. Troops did not return from overseas and from training camps until months later.
