The front of the post card has an image of the mammoth elephant in Dunbar Cave in Clarksville, TN. On the back is a message and the post mark date August 24, 1942. The message reads, “Dear Mother: Very busy here and have not had much time to write. Received your letter and was very glad to hear from you. Are you and Grandmaw both well and having a good time? I hope so. Have you wrote to Clement and told him my address? I have not found time to write. How is everyone back home? I suppose my old pals are in the army by now. Please write to me. Your loving son, Eugene”
