dc.description | The front of the post card has an image of the River Styx which is located in Dunbar Cave in Clarksville, TN. On the back there is the caption that reads, “The great antiquity of the cave holds a fascinating history. Known by the Indians into the dimness of time, it has seen savage massacre; been the ‘vault’ of counterfeiters, and has been the site where Jenny Lind sand on a bridge over the river Styx. She wrote her name nearby with a pine torch; the writing is quite legible even today.” | |
