The front of the post card has a hand-drawn picture of the museum in Clarksville, TN. Also known as the Custom House Museum. The back has a caption that reads, “An amazing blend of several classical architectural styles comprises this building, originally constructed as a U.S. Post Office Customs House in 1898. Italianate ornamentation, Far Eastern roof lines, Romanesque arches and Gothic eagles perched at the four corners accent the Commerce and Send street location. After housing The Clarksville Department of Electricity, 1936-1982, the building was designated as the site for a city-county museum in 1983.”
