The back has a caption that says, “The Clarksville Memorial Hospital was erected 1951-1953 with improvements and additions of later years. It serves Clarksville, Montgomery County and adjacent communities. The large contribution made by the Howard D. Pettus Foundation helped to create this institution through the joint efforts of the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County. It was dedicated on April 11, 1954.”
