On the front of the post card is a hand-drawn image of City Hall in Clarksville, TN. The back has a caption that reads, “located on Public Square, this building is considerably older than the distinctive façade that was constructed in 1914. A sweeping Romanesque arch with recessed entry and intricate terra cotta appointments keynote the building, which houses the City Council chambers. An eagle which originally graced the building’s pediment no longer exists.”
