Author's thesis statement: Trees have a great deal of meaning in various cultures and contexts. My work with trees has stuck with me and I hope to utilize the pieces I have created in the past in addition to current pieces to create a lasting impression upon the audience. The symbolism of beauty, the personal meaning of trees to myself, and my aspirations will all be utilized to create new growth and opportunity while giving an ode to the origin point of learning art and the "happy little trees" we grow to love along the way.
